If you are still concerned and want to consider furthering your education in leadership, we have good news.
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is offering a unique course, PG in Educational Leadership and Management. This course is introduced with the view to create excellent leaders for the nation. Moreover, this course is highly appreciated and proclaimed by Kapil Sibal, HRD minister.

IP University is the pioneer university in India providing Educational Leadership and Management as a regular course. “Leadership course is much required in university or institutes as every teacher cannot be a good leaders,” said Prof. Saroj Sharma, faculty of IP University.

This course is specially designed keeping in mind the turbulent times that demand strong management and fortitude. It is for those who can leverage their qualities and become effective leaders.
During the course, students will be taught about ways to develop a remarkable set of leadership skills that include: confidence, team work, team building and social consciousness. “It will also teach about effective ways to utilize man, material and machine,” said Sharma.

Through educational leadership, students will be trained on subjects like: finance, management principles, research etc. “It will cater to all the necessities of a leader to produce good educational leaders,” said Sharma.

“PG Diploma in Educational Leadership and Management is a one year course spread over 2 semesters. Almost 25 seats are being offered at the University School of Education. We also provide internship to students and have central placement cell to provide suitable jobs,” Sharma added.

Graduates in any discipline can opt for this course with a minimum of 50% marks. Having a B.Ed degree would be an added advantage to pursue this course. The admission procedure will be followed by a written test, group discussion and personal interview.

A leadership and management programme is meant for making leaders in the educational sector and will grow exponentially in the near future. It will help to produce brilliant principals, supervisors, managers, academic leaders, teachers, NGO heads and more. “So, be a torch leader. Chanakya was a brilliant teacher and a great leader too. We must now encourage good leaders to come in the society,” said Sharma.
